Award-winning violinist Hannah Schweiger is a first-year student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studies with Chen Zhao, a member of the San Francisco Symphony and professor at SFCM. Raised in a musical family, she began the violin at a young age and has since performed in a variety of musical settings, including solo, orchestral, and chamber.

Hannah has led from the first chair as concertmaster of several ensembles, including the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen Arts Camp. She was privileged to perform as both soloist and chamber musician with the Pacific Symphony and other ensembles, and was a nominee for the 2026 OC Artist of the Year award. She has also performed in partnership and masterclasses with artists such as Ray Chen, Lang Lang, Geneva Lewis, Margaret Batjer, Martin Chalifour, and more.
“A brilliant young artist with a heart of gold… technically outstanding, musically mature and with incredible conviction in her playing.”
Her studies include work with Dennis Kim, concertmaster of the Pacific Symphony, and earlier lessons with Cheryl Kim of the Colburn School. Away from the stage, Hannah can usually be found reading a good book, writing poetry, or drinking a cup of tea.
