Pablo Casals once said that the greatest respect an artist can show music is to give it life. That conviction is at the center of everything I do.
For me, the violin is more than a career. It is a language that says what words alone cannot, giving voice to the truth of human nature and bringing beauty to life.
When I step onto a stage, I carry two responsibilities. The first is to tradition: to the composers whose works have endured for centuries, and to the generations of musicians who shaped how we hear them. The second is to the music itself: to interpret it in a way that is distinctly my own. Whether leading an orchestra or performing in a quartet, I have found that interpretation is richest when it is shared.
I believe classical music has a rare power to touch the human soul, and that there is something deeply human in the making of it. That humanity lives not only in the sound an audience hears, but in the countless hours of patient work behind it.
I am a violinist and a musician because I love to learn, to create, and to pursue beauty. And I believe each of these has the capability to change the world for good.
